Portrait Photographer Paris – Portraits: being at ease most and foremost.

Having your photograph taken is a personal act.

As a portrait photographer Paris (but also in the splendid and wonderful setting of Lake Annecy), I consider each session a human and artistic endeavour, designed to reveal your personality with accuracy and elegance.
Choosing a portrait photographer means accepting the gaze of another upon you, ‘another’ with a massive camera.
It is precisely for this reason that I think portraits are not taken ‘in a moment’, but in a moment where the subject is comfortable and at ease.

I offer you the opportunity to be photographed by an artist photographer, far removed from the rigid and impersonal conventions of the studio.

Here, there are no standardized sets or imposed artificial lighting: portraits are taken *in situ*, in a place that reflects who you are and where you feel comfortable.
At your home, outdoors, in a café, or in a familiar setting, each session is tailored to your world.

Making people feel comfortable reveals what truly matters.

Capturing a portrait of an individual—or a group—is always a challenge.

For an image to be authentic, it’s essential that the person being photographed feels at ease.
The photographer should no longer be a stranger, and the camera should never be perceived as a constraint or a threat, but rather as something playful.

My job is precisely to establish this trust.
Taking the time to talk, observe, and understand, in order to create a natural, sincere image that highlights both outer beauty and inner personality.
A good portrait isn’t forced; it’s built through conversation.

A human and personalized approach.

Before any session, I always offer a preliminary meeting, with no obligation and no charge.
We can meet at my home or over coffee—which I’m happy to provide—to get to know each other, discuss your expectations, and plan the session together.
This step is essential: it helps to alleviate any apprehensions and create a relationship of trust, indispensable for a successful portrait.

It’s never easy to contact someone you don’t know, and even less so when that person is going to photograph you.
That’s why I value this initial, simple, and friendly exchange, even before taking out the camera.

Portraits outside the studio, true to who you are.

All photos are taken *on location*: at your home, outdoors, or at a location chosen together.
I don’t work in a studio, in order to preserve the lively and sincere quality that, in my opinion, makes a successful portrait.

Each session is unique, just like each person photographed.
As a portrait photographer in Paris, my goal remains the same: to create images that truly reflect who you are, crafted with sensitivity, exacting standards, and authenticity.
To create portraits that resemble you, with accuracy, sensitivity, and elegance.
